Peter B. Owen founded Trendline Financial Solutions in order to meet a demand he has seen for many years. “I believe the overwhelming amount of financial information available, combined with an increasing number of individuals holding themselves out as financial advisors has actually confused the consumer. True financial planning requires a professional who has obtained the necessary academic education and professional credentials to be fluent in all areas of financial planning: Retirement, Investments, Insurance, Education Funding, Taxes, Estate Planning, & Employee Benefits, without being biased  by attempting to sell products to the clients.”

“Professionally, I believe in two things. First, I believe in providing service to my clients in a way that I would want to be served – with an emphasis on their concerns and problems. What I enjoy most about my job is the ability to get to know my clients; developing relationships that allow me to guide them through their financial lives.”

“Second, I believe every person has a right to competent, objective financial advice at a fair price. Since I sell no financial products, all conflicts of interest regarding compensation are removed. I choose to offer my services on a Fee-Only, as-needed basis for all financial questions, big and small. There are no income or net worth minimums to meet in order to become a client, nor are there any long-term commitments by the client – services are as needed and requested.”

Trendline Financial Solutions also works with individuals who may have never used a financial planner or who desire a second opinion regarding a financial decision.

Peter has been in the Financial Services industry for over 30 years. For the past 21 years, Peter represented Bankers Trust Company and then JPMorgan Chase Bank as Trustee of  Fortune 500 corporate pension and 401k plans. Such position included major exposure to or responsibility for Plan Design, Trust Investments, Performance Measurement, Securities Lending, Security Custody  and Administration for these Plans.

His Professional Designations, noted by the Initials after his name, include:

  • Chartered Financial Consultant (Financial Planning) – American College
  • Chartered Life Underwriter (Insurance Planning) – American College
  • Fellow Life Management Institute (Insurance Planning) – Life Office Management Association
  • Certified Retirement Services Specialist (Retirement Planning) – American Bankers Association
  • Certified IRA Services Specialist (IRAs) – American Bankers Association

Peter  received his BA in Economics from Fairfield University in Connecticut.
